Bin Cao

Prof. Cao is a tenured associate professor at Department of Building Science, School of Architecture, Tsinghua University. His research mostly focuses on thermal comfort, and has made contributions to this field through more than 70 articles published in high-impact international journals. He was the recipient of 2020 Yaglou Award from ISIAQ Academy. In 2019, he received the Ralph G. Nevins Physiology and Human Environment Award from ASHRAE. Both of the two awards are important recognitions of his achievements in the indoor environment domain, especially under thermal comfort topics.

Prof. Cao is currently the Section Editor on Thermal Comfort of the journal Energy and Buildings. He worked as the secretary of STC33 (Thermal Comfort) of ISIAQ for over 8 years, and has been nominated as the new chairperson of this committee.
